You may be wondering, why the word escapism is under a Bio heading? Well, without this word, I wouldn’t be doing what I do today. I learned the art of escapism at a very young age. This may not be a full bio, but it’s a big part of who I am today.

Being the youngest child of two immigrant parents wasn’t always the easiest. My parents were hardworking and wanted nothing more than to build a better life.  Their dream was to give us the life they never had, but those dreams didn’t happen overnight. Aspirations didn’t come without heartache and despair, but to give up, was never an option. To get through the tough times, my family, like so many other people, knew about escapism. It meant taking in a movie at the local cinema or picking up a novel. The type of entertainment that took us away from our reality and brought us to a place of glamour, romance, and plain old fantasy. A feel good pick me upper.

Like most people, I didn’t always get to pick and choose what to do with my life. I did what was necessary. Today, I have the good fortune to give back to the world of escapism. I want to share with others the type of stories that brought me into a fantasy wonderland. I’m not saying they’re for everyone, but they are for the die-hard readers who want a mixed bag of emotions in one book.

If you’re familiar with my work, you know that a love story and exotic locations are of the utmost importance. What better way to escape the real world?
